How Often do I Clean my Brushes?

This is just a quick little post to talk to all of my Lovelies about cleaning your cosmetic brushes!

Okay! So over the past few weeks/months I have been experimenting to see how long I could go before I felt like I needed to clean my brushes. (Now I know the time for me could be different for you, but I am going on the basis of using the same foundation and concealer brush every day - seven days a week.) The brushes I use are the EcoTools ones and they are pretty great, though if you are after an airbrushed look then I suggest looking at another brand.

There, just a little review for you to get you started! :)

I have found that cleaning my brushes every 5-7 days works pretty well for me, though I will admit that by the end of the time period my brushes have become a little stiffer and courser to work with but overall they are still useable. I guess this means that I can either wash them on a Friday so they are all nice and lovely for the weekend or I can wash them on a Sunday night and have them fresh and ready for Monday morning.

FYI I do use an all natural liquid hand soap to wash my brushes in because it is soft on the bristles but also cleans them really well. If you would like me to tell you more about my brush cleaning methods let me know, either on here, Instagram or Ask.fm. All of which have links all over this blog.

Rimmel London Metal Rush - Gold Save the Queen

Hello lovelies!
So today I was at Priceline checking out their 2 day (Tuesday 23rd of April to Wednesday 24th of April) 40% off cosmetics sale when I came across a new Rimmel London nail polish. Unlike the last nail polish I did a review on this colour is quite amazing! It's called Gold Save the Queen and is from the Metal Rush collection.

The Metal Rush collection consists of four colours: Gold Save the Queen, Purple Reign, Royale Blue and Pearly Queen. All of these colours are each to their own, but, I do think that they are very pretty and will look really nice over the colder months.

FYI this nail polish is almost a dupe for the O.P.I 007 Skyfall Collection GoldenEye colour. It's a little more metallic but for the price (normally valued at $7.95 is more than half the price of an average O.P.I polish) it is definatly a good buy.

Have You Ever Tried?

SUGARPILL:

Vampy Varnish

I have been contemplating this brand for a little while now, but I just don't know if I like the colours that much to fork out the money for it. If you have ever given it a go I would love to know how it worked out for you!
