Hey guys!
So on the weekend I got my hair cut and basically because I am an unnatural Platinum Blond girl my hair is really fried my hairdresser cut everything that is dead off. Don't get me wrong, now that the frizz is gone I am left with lovely hair, but I miss the slightly longer hair I had so much! Without further ado and with the wedding coming up the following weekend I decided it was time I bought some blond extensions.
Without really thinking about it I went down to my local Hairhouse Warehouse and picked up some Raquel Welch 18" Platinum Blond hair extensions. In hindsight I should have known better and bought 18" Showpony hair extensions because they are a lot thicker and have softer ends. Honestly the Welch extensions are nice but very thin and I personally prefer a fuller and thicker head of hair.
Anywho! I have been on YouTube looking up different brands of hair that are affordable but also decent quality. That was when I came across Luxy hair, to me I thought they were pretty perfect as they were cheaper than other brands, the owners have their own YouTube channel where they do hairstyles with their extensions. But when I started looking further into the hair I found out that they were not cracked up to what they were made out to be (people were complaining that they over-shed leaving the wefts thin and lanky, others complained that the wefts weren't sewn together properly and some went on to say that their clips turned green [kind of like the colour rings from Diva go after being in contact with the skins natural oils!])
I kept on searching until I came across another brand called Bellami Hair Extensions. These extensions look amazing, and I am yet to find another brand online that has NO bad comments about them! Normal everyday people like you and me have only lovely things to say about them!
In all honesty I don't have much to say about them because I haven't found anything bad about them, but take a look for yourself. These extensions will shock you and make you re-think about whether you should buy hair from the local Hairhouse Warehouse or Price Attack.
Lastly I will quickly talk about the weight of the hair. The heavier the hair the more expensive it tends to be. This is because people that have thicker natural hair want extensions that match the look of their hair. Firstly Raquel Welsh extensions aren't that heavy, I don't know how heavy the hair is to be exact, but I do know it is a lot lighter than Showpony 18" extensions. Showpony extensions are either 100-110 grams, these are a nice thickness for semi thin hair. Luxy extensions come in three sets start at 120 grams, this set is aimed at people with finer hair, then they go to a 160 grams set, these are for medium to thicker hair, lastly they have the 220 grams set and they are aimed at people with thicker hair. The Bellami extensions come in two different thicknesses, the 20" extensions weigh 160 grams and the 22" extensions weigh 220 grams.
PRICE OF EACH SET:
RAQUEL WELSH: 18" $175-199
SHOWPONY: 18" $199 20" $245-249
LUXY: 20" $120.95-199.95
BELLAMI: 20"$149.99 22" $199.99
COMMENT:
Right now I am really considering going for the Bellami extensions because they seem to be the best price for length and weight!
