My Daily Makeup!

Hello Lovlies!
I thought I would do a daily makeup blog because some of my friends have been asking for it and I figured why not! If you want to know about any of the products I use then please leave a comment in the comments section, or alternatively leave it on my Ask.fm page which can be found in a previous blog.

1. I begin everyday with washing my face and using my Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub. The unclogging scrub works with little blue beads scrubbing against your skin and washing away all of the dead skin.

2. I then moisturise my whole face and half way down my neck with basically any SPF15 oil free moisturiser. Using moisturiser in summer is really helpful because my skin is so pale that without the sunscreen in the moisturiser I would probably get burnt.

Now for the makeup! :)

3. I begin with aplying my MAC Matchmaster SPF15 foundation. I don't totally love this foundation, but because I bought a $60 foundation I am determined to use it all up! (See March and April favourites blog for more details on the MAC Matchmaster SPF15 foundation.

4. I then apply my concealer to all of the redness on my face focusing on any pimply areas.

Step 5 and 6 is basically skipping through anything else you might do when you do your makeup. This is only because I don't tend to have much time in the morning and I want to make everything as simple as possible for myself.

5. I then put my pressed powder on to set all of my foundation and concealer. (and to help contain those pesky oils!)

6. Lastly I fill in my eyebrows. The only reason I do this is because I was born into a family that doesn't have very thick eyebrows and in order for my face to look like eyebrows exist on it I find that I HAVE to put a little bit of brown on them everyday.

From here I would normally say that I was done, but if I was going out or participating in something special that day I would do steps 7-10

7. For when I want to put eyeshadow on I start off with putting down my eyeshadow primer. My eyelids are so oily it is really important for me to prime my lids to stop my eyeshadow and eyeliner smudging.

8. I would then apply my desired eyeshadow with the darkest colour on the outer side of my lid, the middle shade on the middle of my lid and the lightest shade on the inner corner of my lid.

9. If I feel like wearing eyeliner that day I would use a liquid eyeliner (as I find it stays and doesn't smudge for longer than a crayon or pencil liner). But, the way I apply it is by starting about a quarter way in my eyeline and working my way (using tiny strokes) to the end of my line, from there I slightly wing out the line. I repeat the same process on the other side.

10. Lastly mascara! As I use a relatively natural mascara (I have really sensitive eyelashes) I apply one coat to my upper lashes, wait for it to dry and then apply another coat. I then put one coat on my bottom lashes and then I am done.

March and April Favourites!

Hello Lovelies!

I thought I should do a favourites blog, but as I am really lazy right now I am going to combine each months favourite into a favourite I have been loving for these past two months!

Each product will be sorted into categories and will include it's AUS price as well as the shop/shops it can be purchased from.

Beauty:
  • L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder (light & medium) - $26.95 (Priceline)
This powder is so soft and silky it honestly feels like there is nothing on your face! But, what I thought was amazing when I have been using this powder is that if you put it over the top of foundation as a pressed powder it really helps control the oils and stops your face from looking shiny ALL day!
  • Rimmel London Metal Rush (Gold Save the Queen & Royale Blue) - $7.95 (Priceline)
At the moment I have been wearing Royale Blue every day and although there has been a little chipping to the top of SOME of my nails it hasn't been very noticeable. The Metal Rush collection is really cool because depending on what direction your nails are in the colour looks completely different! For instance Royale Blue in one light can look green, purple or blue. But it can also look blue and green or blue and purple.
  • M.A.C Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation (1.0) - $59.00 (M.A.C)
I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I have noticed that on its own it can make your skin look a little shiny and oily, but it does keep my face sunburn free.  This foundation works really well with my L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Powder and as a result my face doesn't get oily and I am able to keep the same coverage all day.

Hair:
  • Joico K-PAK RECONSTRUCT Liquid Reconstructor - around $20
OH. MY. GOSH.
I have used the liquid reconstructor for just over a month now and I have noticed a massive improvement in my hair! The quality of my hair has improved immensely and all I have to do is after I towel dry my hair I spray a few spritz all over my hair and then let my hair finish air drying. When it comes to straightening my hair there is less breakage, my hair smells amazing and it feels so soft and smooth!!
  • REDKEN 5TH AVENUE NYC FOR MEN Silver Charge shampoo - $25.50 (Hairhouse Warehouse)
I have finally found a silver/purple shampoo that doesn't feel like it is completely drying up my fried hair!! The Redken Silver Charge silver shampoo with steel lock technology is AMAZING!! When I opened the bottle the first thing I noticed was how dark the shampoo was. This silver/purple shampoo is so pigmented that it really does tone your hair in 3 minutes. (My hair is platinum blond but I am slowly trying to get it to an almost white colour and this shampoo has dramatically changed my hair colour! I have no more yellow tones in my hair and they are taking longer and longer to come back!)

My hair is slowly starting to feel more and more normal and I think it has a great deal to do with this shampoo!

I know this isn't a big list of things but over the past two months I have tried many different products and these are the ones that I am really loving right now.
